Environment & Climate
The environmental principles of the UN Global Compact provide an entry point for business to address key environmental challenges. They apply to areas such as research, innovation, co-operation, education, and self-regulation. These principles can positively influence the large negative effects of human activity on the environment, such as environmental degradation, and damage to the planet’s life support systems.
The business community can contribute through the promotion of cleaner production and responsible entrepreneurship.
