The OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises are one of the most comprehensive multilateral code of conduct for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Specific guidelines are developed for implementation at company level.
Now, a due diligence guide for responsible corporate lending and securities underwriting for financial institutions has been published by the OECD. It contains practical implementation tips on, among other things, prioritising risks, stakeholder engagement, dealing with confidentiality provisions and also on a possible dissolution of a customer relationship.
The Swiss National Contact Point for the OECD Guidelines will hold a public, practice-oriented workshop on this subject in the first quarter of 2020.
