    Human Rights Due Diligence Peer Learning & Networking Group The HRDD Peer Learning & Networking Group, implemented in collaboration with focusright , provides a platform for regular exchange among business and human rights professionals in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. We meet about every three months for informal virtual or in-person discussions on questions, learnings, insights and challenges with peers. The group is open for employees of for-profit companies working on topics related to business and human rights – from beginners, intermediates and experts.     Programme Committee In January 2015, the UN Global Compact Network Switzerland & Liechtenstein entered into a partnership agreement with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). ​ The resulting public-private partnership comprises, in addition to the SDC, the State Secretariat of Economic Affairs (SECO) as well as the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (EDA). The objective of this partnership is to revitalize UN Global Compact Network Switzerland & Liechtenstein by “creating and operating a multi-stakeholder platform resulting in an effective dialogue between the private sector, civil society, the government and other organizations”. ​ A programme committee has been created to manage this partnership. It consists of three members of the UN Global Compact Network Switzerland & Liechtenstein board as well as three members of the federal administration.     Team Antonio Hautle Executive Director & Network Representative Executive Director since 2015. Director of Fastenopfer 2001 - 2013; Director of the Administration of the Social Department, State of Lucerne 2013 - 2015. He has a Licence degree in Philosophy, Business Ethics and Catholic Theology from Gregoriana, Rome as well as an MBA HEC from the University of Geneva. Annie Forster Accounts Administrator & Contact Point Annie Forster oversees all financial activities and provides administration support in key account management. She has a background in insurance, taxation and family offices and has spent a number of years living and working in Australia, China and Singapore. Melanie Ferreira Marketing & Communications Manager Melanie is responsible for the development and the implementation of the marketing and communications strategy. She has a background in marketing and business and has worked in the non-profit, banking and events industry in Switzerland and Canada. Alena Ellenberger Marketing & Communications Trainee ​ Alena joined the UN Global Compact Network Switzerland & Liechtenstein as a Trainee and assists with all aspects of marketing and communication. She is simultaneously pursuing her master’s degree in Business Administration with specialization in Marketing at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences. Alice Harbach-Forel Head of Programmes Alice Harbach-Forel has been with the UN Global Compact Network Switzerland & Liechtenstein since 2015. She is in charge of the thematic programmes and supports the UNGC Participants in fulfilling their commitment to the Ten Principles. Previously, Alice worked in research and in the private sector in the field of CSR/RBC. Fabienne Sigg Programme Manager Fabienne Sigg joined the UN Global Compact Network Switzerland & Liechtenstein in 2020 as a trainee. As part of the programme team, she organizes and coordinates thematic workshop and activities to support UNGC participants in aligning their corporate strategies and operations with the Ten Principles and the SDGs. Lorena Berther Project Coordinator Lorena joined us as a Sustainability Management Trainee and is now working as a project coordinator in our programme team. Lorena holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and is currently pursuing her master's degree in sustainable development at the University of Basel. Seraina Kunz Project Coordinator Seraina started to work as a Sustainability Management Trainee at the UN Global Compact Network Switzerland & Liechtenstein. She supports the programme team in various projects. Prior to that, she completed her bachelor`s degree in environmental engineering at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences.

    Sustainable Development Goals In 2015, all 193 member states of the United Nations adopted a plan for achieving a better future for all — a total of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs characterize the sustainability debate at national and international levels. As a global goals system, the SDGs provide a common language and a compass for the challenges of the 21st century. The implementation target year for these is 2030. ​ The business community can play an enormous role in tackling these global challenges.
