Sustainable Development Goals
In 2015, all 193 member states of the United Nations adopted a plan for achieving a better future for all — a total of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs characterize the sustainability debate at national and international levels. As a global goals system, the SDGs provide a common language and a compass for the challenges of the 21st century. The implementation target year for these is 2030.
The business community can play an enormous role in tackling these global challenges. Companies must increasingly leverage their resources to advance the SDGs.
