À propos de l'événement
Climate change has resulted in over 11,000 weather-related disasters in the past 50 years, costing trillions of dollars and disproportionately impacting low-income countries. The latest IPCC report warns of the vulnerability of half the world's population, farmland loss, biodiversity decline, and severe coastal impacts.
It is evident that climate change is already affecting societies, environments, and businesses, necessitating urgent adaptation measures. The private sector must prioritize adaptation to protect workers, communities, and their own long-term success, while ensuring a just transition that avoids risk redistribution and supports all stakeholders.
