Connecting the Dots: From Swiss Legal Sustainability Developments (NUFG) to Practical Reporting

About the event
The current corporate sustainability due diligence and reporting landscape has been placed under scrutiny particularly in the EU this past year. This has had a direct impact on the legal developments in Switzerland, as the Swiss Federal Council announced in September 2025 that it would present an indirect counterproposal to the Responsible Business Initiative (RBI) once clarity has been provided on the EU Omnibus I. After a long period largely shaped by industry self-regulation and voluntary standards, companies now face increasingly comprehensive obligations and ever-growing expectations but also opportunities.
Join us for this webinar to receive a structured and practical briefing on the legal landscape shaping corporate responsibility in Switzerland and beyond. We will unpack the latest developments around the RBI and the related indirect counterproposal, namely the Federal Act on Sustainable Corporate Governance (CSA or otherwise NUFG, Bundesgesetz über die nachhaltige Unternehmensführung), and explore how to get sustainability reporting right in the current climate and using it as a tool to build long-term resilience.
