About the event

Climate change poses significant threats to people, ecosystems, and businesses worldwide, leading to disruptions in global value chains. Mitigating climate risks requires prioritizing adaptation, resilience, Just Transition, and emissions reductions. By assessing risks, reinforcing infrastructure, and implementing adaptation measures, we can protect supply chains and build resilient systems.

Tackling scope 3 emissions can also serve as an opportunity to reinforce value chains. Often representing the largest portion of a company’s inventory, scope 3 emissions can be a great challenge to overcome, while at the same time it can also open the door for synergies and collaboration.

What you will learn

  • Explore strategies for conducting effective risk assessments and management in the context of climate action in value chains
  • Discuss obstacles and opportunities related to tackling scope 3 emissions within value chains
  • Hear from peers on collaboration opportunities and partner engagement focusing on emissions management
