Collective action can help companies address complex human rights challenges that they cannot tackle effectively alone. By working together across sectors, countries and stakeholder groups, businesses can strengthen their leverage, build capacity and engage more effectively with stakeholders.

Hosted by a coalition of thirteen UN Global Compact Country Networks, this interactive breakfast session for business representatives, held alongside the UN Forum on Business and Human Rights, offers a unique opportunity to connect with peers from different countries and sectors and learn from their experiences. Through concrete examples of sectoral and multi-stakeholder initiatives, participants will explore how collective action can support the implementation of human rights due diligence, where it adds value and what it takes to make collaboration work in practice.

The session combines practical examples with facilitated peer-to-peer discussions, creating space for companies to exchange lessons learned, discuss shared challenges and explore opportunities for collaboration across sectors and markets. ​Participants will leave with practical insights into how collective action can strengthen human rights due diligence, lessons from companies and initiatives in other contexts, and ideas for advancing collaboration to address shared human rights challenges.
