Über die Veranstaltung
Are you interested in learning what hospitality companies from around the world do to start or advance on their sustainability journey? Then join the free Better Hospitality Initiative event 2025!
In 2024, the Better Hospitality Initiative (BHI) was carried out by networks of the UN Global Compact in collaboration with organizations such as EarthCheck, the International Finance Corporation and EDGE, myclimate, NOW Transforming Hospitality, Sintali, the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance, and the World Travel & Tourism Council. Educational and training expertise was provided by the Swiss Hospitality Management Institute Lucerne and the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons.
More than 100 hospitality companies participated in the BHI to get an overview of tools and approaches to ensure their business’s sustainability and competitiveness and to learn from each other. Seven BHI participants submitted sustainability projects which – due to their quality – have received mentoring support from the above-mentioned organizations.
At the BHI event 2025, the seven BHI participants and their mentors will share with you the challenges they have faced, the measures they have taken, and the progress they have made. Of course, you will have the opportunity to ask questions.
The seven hospitality companies are:
· Accor group (South Africa), with a project on pricing sustainability
· CBRE (India), with two projects on a sustainability scorecard and improving the user experience
· Evok Collection (France), with a project to implement a CSR strategy
· Hotel Corpo Santo (Portugal), with a project to reduce waste
· Hotel La Réservec Eden au Lac (Switzerland), with a project on sustainable luxury
· Hotel NJV Athens (Greece), with a project to implement a CSR strategy
· Veranda Resorts, Rogers Hospitality (Mauritius), with a project to implement a decarbonisation strategy
The event will be held in English.
