Über die Veranstaltung
Despite existing legislation under the Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive (PPWR) (94/62/EC), recycling rates varied significantly between Member States, limiting progress toward a circular economy. PPWR aims to address these challenges by establishing harmonized EU-wide rules to reduce unnecessary packaging, improve recyclability and reuse, increase the use of recycled content, and help achieve the EU's climate and resource-efficiency objectives.
In this webinar BDO Switzerland will provide an overview of the key requirements of the PPWR, the roles and obligations companies must carry out to become compliant with the PPWR requirements of 2026. The webinar will also explain how the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) requirements of the PPWR will work and a high-level overview of the upcoming PPWR requirements post 2026. The webinar will highlight the most important obligations that have to be carried out in 2026 with practical decision trees to determine your roles under the PPWR.
