Introduction to corporate climate action: Developing a climate strategy (1/4)

Objective

The webinars with focus on  SDGs serve as awareness raising in the area of sustainability for their members and further  stakeholders. The webinars are hosted by UN Global Compact Network Switzerland & Liechtenstein with external experts as speakers.

Goals

Participants 

• understand the initial situation, importance and responsibility
• are empowered to identify climate change related risks & opportunities for their  organisation 
• know, how a climate & sustainability strategy (incl. climate goal) can be built 

Contents

Introduction CO2 topic and climate knowledge including climate change,  global context, climate strikes, opportunities and risks, definitions, climate and sustainability  strategy, corporate climate goals, examples & best practices from the industry.

Participant groups

All (new) members of the UN Global Compact as well as other interested companies, rather smaller up to larger

medium-sized companies, who are looking for initial pointers for creating a sustainability strategy.
