How to join
To participate in the UN Global Compact and the Global Compact Network Switzerland & Liechtenstein, an organization must:
Step 1
Organization type
Decide if your organization is a business or non-business.
Please see if your organization falls under any of the non-business categories here
Step 3
Letter of commitment
Prepare a Letter of Commitment addressed to the UN Secretary-General and signed by the highest level executive or Chairperson of the board (or equivalent) committing to implement the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, act in support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and report on their progress annually (COP).

Step 4
Application
Complete the online application by filling out the Online Application Form here.
If you are a Swiss subsidiary of a transnational company that is already a Participant/Signatory of the UN Global Compact, please fill out the Subsidiary Membership Form here.
The UN Global Compact will confirm your membership. Thereafter, you will be welcomed to the Global Compact Network Switzerland & Liechtenstein and invited to all our local activities.
Step 5
Invoicing
You will get an invoice from the UN Global Compact Head Office. Your contribution will be allocated as follows:

45% for the Global Compact Network Switzerland & Liechtenstein

50% for the UN Global Compact

5% for the fund for emerging local networks
Only companies with a turnover below CHF 50'000 and non-business members will get an invoice from the Global Compact Network Switzerland & Liechtenstein for the local contribution only.
Please note that in any case you will only be receiving one invoice.
